Like last year’s Spring Mini-Tours, this tour will be "invitation only". Returning clients will have priority, and spaces are limited to nine players. As the concept of the "Mini-Tour" may be new to some players, information can be obtained through the following links:

The Spanish Bangdown II will begin in Cáceres, Spain on May 1, 2006. Players will arrive by 3pm for afternoon training. Food and lodging (provided by the tour) will begin this day.

We will aim to play against, and in front of, the maximum number of Superliga (Spanish Division 1), Top FEV A (Spanish Division 2, North), Top FEV B (Spanish Division 2, South), Portuguese A1 (Division 1), and Top Portuguese A2 (Division 2) teams.

Players should expect a tour cost of about 500 Euro. While on tour, players w ill be provided with a meal of the day and some sort of breakfast on all match and training days. Transportation will be provided while on tour (including transportation to Madrid from Granada at the end of the tour).

It should be noted that aside from being one of the cheapest ways to see Europe, hang out with a fun crowd, play volleyball, rage, and enjoy the Iberian Peninsula… 14 of the 17 players from last year’s Spring Tours were signed for the 2005-2006 season. Two did not sign for medical reasons, and the other was an All-World libero whose contract fell through at the last minute.

True, you could probably get another job even without going on the tour. And, it might seem expensive. But maybe you wouldn’t get signed in Spain or Portugal. Or maybe you’ll get signed for an extra 100-200 Euros (or more) a month and more than make up for the cost of the tour. Another huge advantage of the tour is the opportunity to potentially meet your future coach, club president, or teammates and get to know the city before you ever commit. Plus, you’ll get the Euro road trip of your life…

The Itinerary is as follows:

Monday April 24-- Match vs. CV Emisa Chiclana

Tuesday April 25 through Thursday April 27-- Match play in Granada and Almeria

Friday April 28-- Possible match play in Alicante

Saturday April 29-- Tournament play near Valencia
