Rene Quintana, Trainer of Nicaraguan National Team: Our main contact with the Nicaraguan National Team who helped with the first tour and will continue to be with us as we bring more tours down.
“Benito”: We couldn’t have pulled off that first tour without him as he organized many aspects of that first tour.
Kathleen Knight, Housing & Volunteer Project Coordinator, PEPO: Kathleen has helped us tremendously in setting up meetings and finding ways for us to distribute everything to the people who need it most.
Yadira Ponce, Principal of local San Juan del Sur High School: Yadira welcomed us with open arms to come and share a wonderful volleyball experience with her students.
Professor Frank Ruiz Prado, Vice President of the San Juan Del Sur Municipio Programa de Deportes (City Sports Program): Frank, who devotes much of his time to sports in San Juan del Sur, will be our “window to the future” in our involvement with the volleyball (and hopefully other sports as well) teams in the area. He was also responsible for setting up our clinic at the school.
Cesar A Guadamuz V., Director of COMUDEP San Juan del Sur (Sports Commission): Cesar will be someone we will work with in the future, especially as we bring more and more teams down here to compete.
Brooke Rundle, Dave and Lydia Kniffin, Mike and Lorraine Akeman: We can’t thank you guys enough for acting as our “mules.” We appreciate all the work that was involved in gathering and bringing down equipment.
The Guys and Gal at Water’s Edge International Realty: What a great group of people! Thanks for your help and for the use of the office!
Juan Lorenzo Holmann: Juan has done numerous things for us, including adding 3 fans to Concordia’s match against the Nicaraguan National Team when he showed up with his daughters Renata and Camila. Many of Vanguard’s girls, and also myself, would like to thank him for having the horses brought out to Playa Hermosa.
Volleyhut: We would like to thank our friends at Volleyhut who donated a handful of scoreboards for us to bring down on our first tour. The rest of you know who you are and what you contributed…
Liz Stromath: Liz donated 8 huge custom white boards for a couple of the local schools.
Donn Wilson, NicaDev: Donn continues to be of great assistance as we try to increase the amount of people we’re helping. He took a group of girls from Concordia and Vanguard Universities out to his land to plant trees for a couple days. He is in charge of the pre-school project out in the Carizal as well. Carlos Luis and The Crew from Da’ Flying Frog: These guys have been amazing. Between driving our groups all around San Juan del Sur in their army truck to showing everyone an awesome time on the Canopy Tour...we can’t thank them enough for all their help.
