Atlanta’s A5 volleyball club traveled to Botswana and Zimbabwe with Bring It Promotions on November 10th to 20th, 2019. The team referred to as ‘A5 Global’, was comprised of a select group of players from different age groups within the club. They hosted youth volleyball clinics, competed against the Botswana national team, and visited the Mokolodi Reserve, the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls.
The trip was an incredible combination of competitive volleyball, wildlife exploration and community service. In an effort to remove barriers to girls’ participation in sports, we partnered with The Sports Bra Project to deliver new sports bras to those lacking resources. Thanks to a generous donation by Mizuno, the club was able to deliver 120 sports bras to volleyball players in Botswana. In a commitment to conserve the environment, the club also offset their carbon emissions for the entire trip through BIP’s partnership with Offset Alliance.
