Team Information
- Rosters need to be emailed to bringitusacory@aol.com by July 1, 2015. For each player we need the players name, height, position, and date of birth and current club.
- Uniforms: You will need one set of light uniforms and one set of dark uniforms. Remember that numbers cannot be higher than 18.
- A rooming list needs to be turned in no later than July 4, 2015. One week before the start of the tournament I will give you specific details on the rooming list. Please email them to bringitusacory@aol.com
- Exchange gifts: Please bring something for net exchanges with each team. Please have all your players bring tee-shirts for exchanges.
- Tournament Information: One week prior to your departure I will provide you with all the necessary information for the tournament. Exact details will not be worked out until that time. At the moment the following teams are to coming to the Global Challenge:

- The Technical meeting will be held the Hotel Pula on July 13th at 6:30 pm.
- Tournament results will be updated each night along with journal entries on the Bring It USA site at http://bringitusa.com/gc15/
- The Hotel Pula has wireless Internet access, however they charge for internet.
- Opening Ceremonies: The ceremonies will be held in the town square of Pula on the evening of July 12, 2015 at 9 pm. It will be hot, so all we ask is that teams have on matching shirts. It is fine to wear shorts. We ask that each team bring a flag from their country.
- Plan to arrive at the Hotel Pula before 3 pm if possible. All teams start with lunch on the 12th and end with breakfast on the 17th.
- Again, exact details for the tournament will come one week before the tournament.
- Age limits. In general the age requirements for the Global Challenge are 22 and under and U17 and under.

- RULES OF THE GAME
5.1 General principle: The matches in the European Global Challenge are played according to the Rules of the game of FIVB 2005-15.
5.2 Special rules: Group play will be 3 sets to 25 points for each set. Championship rounds will be 3 out of 5 sets in the winners bracket and 2 of 3 sets in the consolation braket.
5.3 Special rules: In order to faciliate playing time, the U17 tournament will be allowed a total number of 12 subsitutions per set with unlimited entries. Note the U22 tournament will follow standard subsitution rules of 6 total subs and 1 entry.
- COMPETITION SYSTEM
6.1 USA vs. European Challenge (Round One/Days one and two)
The Brijuni Tournament (U22) will consist of 14 teams. Seven (7) European teams and seven (7) USA teams. The Istra Tournament (U17) will consist of 10 teams. Five (5) European, five (5) USA teams .
The USA vs. European Challenge is designed to match up teams from one side of the Atlantic with teams from the other side of the Atlantic. Each team in both divisions will play four randomly selected opponts in the USA vs. European Challenge. All matches will be played 3 sets to 25 points
Championship Tournament: (Round two/Days three and four)
Brijuni Division: (u22) The top USA team and the top European team in the Brijuni (u22) division will have a first roud bye in the 14 team championship tournment. Note that all teams will continue to play in order to determine positions 1-14.
Istra Division: (u17) The top 3 USA and 3 European team in the Istra (u17)division will have a first round by in the 10 team championship tournament. Note that all teams will continue to play in order to determine positions 1-10
All teams are guaranteed six total matches in the tournament.
First team listed wears light uniforms, last time listed wears dark uniforms.
- OFFICIAL RATIFICATION OF MATCHES
Seeding in the Brijuni and Itra Divisions: (round one) Each set won counts as one point. There are a possible of 12 total points for each team in round one. If after 12 total sets two or more teams are tied with the same number of points, the ratio of points scored to points against will determine the highest seed.
The championship bracket is played best 3 of 5 in the winners bracket. The consolation bracket is best 2 of 3 sets with the 3rd set to 15 points if needed.
- Officials
Pool play matches and the consolation braket in the championship tournament will have one up official and one score keeper. All championship matches will have one up, and one down official and one score keeper. The championship Final Match in both divisions will also have line judges.
