\"pula<\/a>The exquisite natural landscapes, jagged cliffs\u00a0and crystal teal water of the Adriatic Sea\u00a0will draw you in at first. Carpeted in cobblestone streets and dotted with 3,000 year old\u00a0Roman ruins, Croatia\u2019s rich history rivals the beauty of its natural resources.\u00a0This is the backdrop of Bring It USA\u2019s annual European Global Challenge tournament.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

\"pula<\/a>What started in Salt Lake City, Utah as a modest volleyball\u00a0tournament with a few foreign\u00a0teams has evolved into a 32-team international invitational featuring\u00a0top teams in u17 and u22 divisions from around the world. In recent years\u00a0the sleepy little town of Pula has witnessed a volleyball showdown\u00a0between youth and junior national teams from Russia, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Denmark. \u00a0Add to that a mix of club and country federation teams from\u00a0Romania, Germany, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Puerto Rico. USA regional HP, youth national, junior national, and collegiate national teams have all traveled across the globe to compete against some of the best youth volleyball teams in the world.<\/p>\n

In the words of tournament founder\u00a0Cory Solomon, \u201cThe goal in this event has always been for the American teams\u00a0to match up with foreign teams, rather than other American teams, in as many matches as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"pula<\/a>Competitive international volleyball. That\u2019s what you get at the European Global Challenge. \u00a0All teams, regardless of their nationality, stay in close quarters at the beach front Hotel Pula to encourage a cultural exchange between players\u00a0and coaches. \u00a0The hotel is perfectly positioned within walking distance to both the competition arena and the crystal blue coastline.<\/p>\n

The tournament kicks off with an opening ceremony honoring past Olympians\u00a0in attendance from various countries at the edge of the one of the last remaining fully intact Roman Colosseums in the world dating back to 68 AD. \u00a0Daily tournament play is combined with historic sightseeing and beach relaxation.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a volleyball fan who loves to travel, there\u2019s no better place in the world to be in July than Pula. \u00a0The 13th annual European Global Challenge will return to Pula July 4th \u2013 15th, 2017. \u00a0Pre-tours will take place throughout Europe in preparation for the tournament.<\/p>\n
