Ashley Petak is an accomplished volleyball coach and former collegiate standout, currently serving as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). An Omaha native, Petak brings over a decade of coaching experience, including an impactful eight-year tenure at Regis University, where she helped guide the Rangers to a 168–61 record, three RMAC championships, and five NCAA Tournament appearances. Her coaching expertise has developed 14 All-Americans and 63 Academic All-RMAC honorees, while her offensive strategies contributed to Regis leading NCAA Division II in blocking in 2023 and 2024.
Prior to Regis, she held assistant coaching roles at Missouri Western, Augustana University, and Minnesota State–Mankato. As a four-year starting setter at Truman State University, Petak led her team to four NCAA Tournaments, including a Final Four appearance in 2008, and ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in assists. She holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, a master’s in sport and exercise psychology, and an MBA from Regis University. Recognized as one of the AVCA’s “30 Under 30” in 2019, Petak is known for her leadership, player development, and commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
