Botswana is known as one of the greatest safari destinations in all of Africa. However the capital city of Gaborone is an urban sprawl of shopping malls, restaurants and government ministries. Although the largest city in Botswana, it has a population of only around 230,000 people.

Travel just 15 kilometers south of the city and you’ll find the Mokolodi Nature Reserve, a registered non-profit charity organization spanning 3700 hectares in size. The reserve is home to many rare and endangered species including rhinos, giraffes, and a variety of reptiles. Conservation and education are the two core values at Mokolodi. Your visit to the Mokolodi Nature Reserve is sure to be a life changing adventure you’ll never forget.

You can learn more about the reserve and make donations to the conservation fund here – http://www.mokolodi.com/.

Francistown has one of the largest stadiums in Botswana for their football team, Tati African Football Independent Club, who competes in the Botswana premier league.

Kasane, Botswana

Kasane is located between Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibian. Kasane is best known for being the gateway to Chobe National Park, one of the greatest national parks in Southern Africa. The park is home
to herds of elephants which converge on the confluence of Kasane’s two major rivers, the Chobe and the Zambezi.
