Botswana tour- December 27 2022 to January 6, 2023.
BIP has formed a partnership with the Botswana Volleyball Federation to help improve the overall level of the National Team and develop players within Botswana. Our first big step is to bring more American university and club coaches to work with their players. In addition, we are inviting university and club players to Botswana to work with their young players and play friendly matches against their teams. This will allow our USA coaches to further work with the young players from Botswana.
This trip will include clinics and friendly matches in Gaborone, Maun and Kasane. All coaches and players will be asked to bring one extra bag on the trip with volleyball items to donate to the national teams and club teams within the country. A list of items will be provided, and we can facilitate procurement of used balls and other volleyball equipment and apparel.
Dates: Arrive in Gaborone, Botswana on December 27,, 2022, and leave from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe on January 5, 2023. Note that is not required to stay the entire trip. Coaches and players can depart earlier if needed. To arrive in Gaborone on December 27, most participants will leave their home country on December 26.
In addition to the clinics and friendly matches the trip will include safaris in Gaborone, Khama and Kansane and a visit to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Cost: $2,500.00 + airfare. This includes all hotels, breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, ground transportation and safari fees. Note that there is a visa cost for both Botswana and Zimbabwe and everyone must follow local covid requirements.
